"Accept the unchangeables. Smile, breathe and bask in acceptance"
                                                                   -The Minimalists

That is a quote that M came across a few days ago. Paradoxically that quote is scary and relaxing making it is very appropriate for our situation.

M just went into the Operating Room at about 1:00MST.

Now Shari, Bob, Rob and myself are in hanging tight in the surgery waiting room.

As you can imagine it was a long night but the morning started out with her MRI at 7:00.  That MRI was a mapping pre-op image so the doctor has locations correct for the incisions.

We then met up with Murine and Don Kaull for breakfast at the hotel Diner. They are dear friends and the parents of M's "work wife," Kris.  It was great to have two of the many "families" M cherishes, finally meet.

As planned we were at the hospital at 10:45.  Shortly after she was in pre-op for IVs, vital signs and meetings with the doctors.  Dr. Ross and Dr. Mitchell(Anesthesia) sat down by her bed and reviewed the event of the day. M was impressed by the bedside manner of both and Dr. Mitchell has a colleague in Bozeman that M knows and likes.

St Vs has a pretty good system of notification with a status board and phone call updates every two hours.  So I will keep the updates flowing.

Thanks again to all involved!

Matt
